“Moth and Moon”

These beautiful tiles are completely hand made, they are rolled out from strong stoneware clay and then individually cut and left to dry for several days before their first firing.
They are then brush glazed by hand with an off white vintage glaze and then fired again at 1220 degrees.
After this a decal is carefully applied and the tile is then fired for a third time at a high temperature so that the decal fuses robustly into the glaze and becomes one with the tile.

The art work is taken from an original water colour painting by myself.

The tiles are hand made in Wales by the ceramicist Melaniemademud.

Tiles are approximately 13.5cm x 13.5cm

Please note that with all kiln fired pieces each tile will be unique and may not look exactly like the image above.
