This is an iron on woven fabric patch of a happy flying sighthound With silver wings and grey body.
Patches are great for covering tears and rips or personalising your cool bag / jumper / jacket or jeans.
The patch is iron on but you can also tack it in place with a needle and thread too, nothing wrong with the belt and braces approach.
There are loads of really informative little videos on YouTube on how to attach iron on patches , just always be careful operating and handling hot irons.
